Our new iPad came in the mail today. I'm giving it a test run by typing this blog entry. Let's see how typing on a touch screen compares to typing on a keyboard, shall we?
Besides the fact that we love electronic toys, we bought our ipad for travel. It's definitely smaller and lighter than our little netbook. We can watch movies on it on the plane and store electronic versions of travel books on it.
We decided on the route to the Hoover Dam. We're going to travel through and camp overnight in the Mojave Desert. It's supposedly the fastest route and we both want to see the Mojave. It must not be a very popular park since the National Park Service doesn't charge an entry fee. Initially we thought about staying in a tiny little town called Nipton at the Nipton Hotel. But, I emailed them and they never emailed back. I checked a travel review for them on Trip Advisor and the most recent entry in April 2011 said the place was shut down by the state of California... whatever that means.
Hey, typing on an iPad isn't so hard. It's definitely not as awesome as typing on a desktop keyboard, but I'll take it!
Curious to hear how camping the Mojave was
