In early June we're hitting the road for a week and a half and I CAN'T WAIT! It's been way too long since we've had a proper vacation, not counting our brief little jaunts to NYC, around California, and Wisconsin. The last time we spent some serious time traveling was on our honeymoon to Tahiti in 2009. Since then I've been too busy with school and we had to seriously pinch our pennies after all the money we dropped in Tahiti.
As of now, our travel plans include San Diego, Joshua Tree, the Hoover Dam, the Grand Canyon, and Phoenix. We may add or subtract locations... the plans aren't totally concrete yet. We'll do a little camping, spend a few nights in a hotel or two, and my aunt and uncle have very graciously offered us the use of their condo in Scottsdale.
I love road tripping through the southwestern United States. This will be my third time. There's something I love about driving miles through the desert and mountains. It's so grand and beautiful.
